Start from your account
On the website, open My Account and choose Delete account beneath Sign out. You will see any activity that must be resolved, then confirm using your password or an emailed code, as requested by the service. The mobile release must expose deletion initiation in app settings; a policy link or sign-out button alone is not that feature.
Resolve outstanding activity
Deletion may be blocked by a remaining or unreadable wallet balance, a withdrawal in progress, a live game, an unsettled stake or an unfinished tournament. The flow explains each blocker. Contact support if an issue prevents you from completing the process; support must not be the only normal deletion path.
Confirmation and grace period
A successful request hides your profile, revokes sessions and returns a scheduled date. The current backend provides a 30-day grace period. Signing in before the scheduled date cancels deletion and keeps the account. Personal-data scrubbing is scheduled after that period; this is more than sign-out or indefinite deactivation.
Records that may remain
Records required for game history, transaction accounting, security or legal obligations may remain where applicable. Public blockchain history cannot be removed by ChessDict. The operator must confirm the categories, reasons and retention periods for retained data, including backups and chat content, before this page is published.
If confirmation is missing
A connection error does not tell you whether deletion was scheduled. Check the confirmation email or use the available account-status check. Do not sign in simply to test whether deletion succeeded: doing so during the grace period can cancel it. Contact the confirmed support route if the result remains unclear.
